Joy as man gets his conjugal rights

The man who attempted to commit suicide last weekend after his wife allegedly denied him conjugal rights has a reason to smile, at last.

The distraught man had thrown himself in front of a speeding matatu but the driver stepped on his brakes just in time.

This follows a week long behind-the-scenes manoeuvring by close family friends that culminated in a deal.

According to the deal reached at the weekend, the Nigerian would be entitled to his conjugal rights three times a week, if he so wishes.

When the deal was reached at the weekend, the man was excited, laughed and joked with friends in a local pub in Mikindani, Changamwe.

So ecstatic was the man that he ordered the pub locked from the inside and bought the entire stock of drinks—alcoholic and non- alcoholic—for bar patrons.

The delighted husband drunk himself silly and ordered the DJ to continuously play Saida Kaloris’s hit song, ‘Wenye Wivu Wajinyonge’. All the while, he held his wife tight and cuddled her in a display of passion.

He finally took her to the Mombasa ASK show for what he said would be ‘a proper ‘honeymoon’.

It’s not all gloom and doom.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, washed the t-shirt 23 times, threw the t-shirt in the ragbag, now I'm polishing furniture with it.
